Mmmmm.....
Eden has decided to pass up formula and dive right into eating meals with us. We cut up her food really well and she gums the heck out of it. She eats a ton, drinks from the sippy cup every once in a while, and seems pretty content.

Happy Birthday
My little girl is turning 3 tomorrow and I can't believe it. She will be super excited to wake up to pink balloons, princess accessories, and bagels for breakfast (they're her favorite!) The hardest part will be waiting until daddy gets home to open presents, but we have a fun day planned so hopefully she will be distracted. We certainly love this nutty little girl! :)

I can't believe how old she looks in this picture!

Miss Eden
Little Miss Eden turned 9 months yesterday and I have been waiting for our Internet glitch to get ironed out so I can do a post about this little cutie! (Our Internet doesn't work yet, but one of our neighbor's wireless Internet is working so good enough :) Here are some things about Eden at 9 months:
- She does not attempt to crawl or roll around. She is very content sitting and playing with the things around her. She automatically pulls her legs up into a sitting position whenever she is being moved around; she does not want to be set down on her tummy or stood up.
- No teeth yet.
- No interest in the bottle or sippy cup. Those have been her options for liquid for the past couple of days so she has decided to eat solid foods and drink bath water.
- She LOVES to say da-da-da-da-da and la-la-la-la-la all day long.
- When we say "daddy" she looks directly at Dave and gives him a huge smile.
- She likes to clap and roll her little arms like "wheels on the bus."
- She sat in the front part of the cart for the first time today. Her little gut rolled over the seat belt and completely hid it.
- Every morning I find Milan and Eden laying down in her crib having a little conversation.
- She sucks on her two fingers and a fleecy blankie to fall asleep.
- She's great at picking up tiny things with her fingers.
- She's a picky little eater. She does not like apples or anything green. She loves breads.
- She's happy and smiley most of the day. She rubs her eyes when she's tired, cries in her crib for a minute until she falls asleep, then wakes up smiley again.
We just love this little girl to pieces and we're so lucky to have her in our family :).
Settled In
We had some hectic days and now we're settled into our little apartment. I really thought I would miss our house, but I am LOVING this apartment life. We get to spend time together as a family instead of working on house projects; cleaning up is super easy since it's much smaller and we have streamlined our posessions; plus it's way cheaper! I'm sure I'll be itching for a new house at some point, but for now I'm enjoying this stage.
The other day, Milan and I made some yummy cookies during Eden's naptime. She helped with every step of the process and obviously loved the decorating part.

Milan had her fair share of cookies, frosting, and sprinkles!

We made 2 plates of cookies for friends and took daddy a plate at work. (Milan and I may have finished off the other 2 plates before they made it out of the house. Some self-control might be helpful once in a while.)

Farewell to Disneyland
We had a couple of hours Saturday morning before our flight so we let Milan pick our activities.
First stop....the Princesses!
(Eden can hardly contain her excitement in this picture :)

"I'm 2."

Then we revisited some of her favorite rides.
The Teacups.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

The Carousel.
We ran into Chip and Dale on our way out of the park. Milan got to play with them without waiting in line so they were her favorite characters!

It was a wonderful trip!! We had a great time hanging out together and Milan has talked about it every day that we have been back. I'm so glad that we planned this family vacation before we sold our house and other things became priorities. Speaking of selling the house.....moving day tomorrow....off to bed now....

Friday
You might be tired of seeing our Disneyland pictures, but Milan can't get enough of them. Dave and I have both shown her our blog pictures multiple times today and she loves to tell us what we're doing in each picture.
Friday, we headed to Disneyland in the morning. The park was definitely busier and the lines were longer. Milan had a tendency to get half way through the line then insist on going potty; they ended up waiting in line a couple of times for this ride.

The highlight of Milan's day was meeting Tinkerbell.

It was great beach weather so we headed to the beach house in the afternoon.

Eden enjoyed eating sand (and showing off her cute little beach body.)

Dave and Milan went exploring and wave jumping then built this awesome sand castle!

At 6, we left our tired kids with Grandma and Papa then headed back to Disneyland to ride rides until midnight. We had a great time exploring Disneyland in the dark and just hanging out together.

The FUN Continues!
I didn't take a single picture on the second day of our family vacation, but I definitely made up for that oversight on Thursday! Wednesday was a great day though. Grandma and Papa played with Eden in our hotel room while Dave and I took Milan to Disneyland. Our second ride of the day was Pirates of the Caribbean.....bad idea....it scared the heck out of Milan and she wouldn't go on any type of boat ride for the rest of the day. We decided to head over to Fantasyland after that and she loved all the kids rides. We even got to see Woody and his girlfriend! Mid-afternoon we headed back to our hotel room for lunch. Milan decided to stay and swim with Papa so Dave and I went on a date to California Adventure. We rode some roller coasters and ate ice cream for dinner....it was great!
Thursday, Grandma and Papa spent the day with us at Disneyland! We started off the day by visiting some of our favorite characters.

Then we rode practically every kid ride in Disneyland! (We successfully secured the pink elephant, pink tea cup, pink roller coaster car, etc. every time and had a very happy little girl.)

We ran into the Fairy Godmother

And even got to see Princess Jasmine

Just when we thought Milan was too tired to get out of the stroller one more time, the parade started! Milan hopped right out, took a front row spot, and started shaking her little bum as soon as the music started. She danced the whole time and the parade dancers kept taking her out into the street to dance. It was super CUTE and Milan absolutely LOVED it!
