Miss Cora (16 1/2 months)

Well, let me start this post by saying that Cora is totally crazy!  She climbs on top of everything that she can.  She won't wear shoes, but likes to play with other people's shoes.  She won't sit in the high chair to eat.  She stands on her chair so she can be big like her sisters.  She is very picky about what she will be eat....she has to be in the mood for a certain food.  She eats banana peels.  She likes to take a bite out of each apple in the bowl then hurl the apple to the ground.  She likes to eat crab apples.  She is a very cautious little climber.  She loves keys, her blankie, and bottles of warm milk.  We can't leave pens anywhere....she recently decorated the inside of my car.  She says ma-ma, wa-wa, da-da, wee, na, ya, and ba-dl.  She has a major under bite and can put her bottom teeth over her top lip.  She looks like a sheep dog when she wakes up.  She can open doors and likes to head outside whenever she can.  She will not hold hands.

And she is so sweet!  She sometimes pats my back when we hug.  She likes to snuggle on the couch and watch tv.  She also likes to sit next to the girls and do whatever they are doing (watch tv or read a book.)  And she is the cutest little sleeper.....

Horseback Riding

Milan told me that she is over horses and her new thing is cowgirls!! That was no surprise to hear....she is obsessed with horses!  She loves to watch Horseland and read books about horses.  We were lucky to have an opportunity to go horseback riding tonight and Milan LOVED it!  She rode this little guy, named Pete, the entire night.  When she first got on, I tried to help her, but she said that she already read about how to get on a horse. (It turns out that I have a lot to learn about horses!  A 12 year old girl thought I was ready to handle my own reigns...I almost got thrown off so I guess I wasn't :))

Eden loved the idea of horseback riding, but she was a little nervous about taking her turn.  When she got used to it, she said, "mom, I am being so brave!"  I am so proud of this little lady!

Dinner in the mountains

It was a perfect Sunday evening!  We packed up our tin foil dinners, put on our "adventure" clothes and met some friends in the mountains for a fun time!  After a little while we heard crack, crack, crack, crack, crack,.....scream!  Milan fell out of a tree, but recovered pretty quickly when she realized that her friends were more fun than listening to adult conversation.

The other girls were off exploring and Cora totally wanted to go with them, but I had to reign her in.  That made her the easiest to photograph (and it helps that she is oh so cute!)

Playing in the dirt is always a hit!  Everyone had a great time!

Just like daddy

The other day we were hanging out at home when I looked over and noticed Cora putting on daddy's glasses and hat all by herself.  She sure pulls off this look!

And of course homework is always better when you have a cute little helper to do all the highlighting!

Buddy Walk

Today we did the Buddy Walk and I'm already blogging about it....man, I'm on a roll!!  Keeping track of all the girls, including crazy miss Cora, in large crowds of people can be hectic.  We managed to come home with the whole family and the girls had a great time so it was success.  We started off at Washington Park with games, music, and dancing on stage.  We did a short walk, ate lunch at tailgate park, got some free crap at the booths, jumped on the jump houses (that's where it was almost impossible to keep track of the kiddos!), ate TONS of junk food, and watched the football game until we spotted thunder and lightening. We didn't think lightening and bleachers were a good idea and the kids were running out of junk food so we took off.  Love these fun activities for the kids!
Ended the night at a bbq at our friends, the Chamberlians, and we had so much fun!  I have to say that we have met some great friends in Laramie and we really like it here!

Summer Photo Shoot

While my sister was here, we had the brilliant idea of getting a picture of all the cousins.

My sister put in a solid effort to get the girls to smile, but Cora would not crack (I think she was teething.)  Love this picture right here though!
My pretty ladies!

The only way to get all the cousins together in a picture was to confine the littles in the wagon :)
Love these pictures of Brynn and Marie!

Eden's Birthday Schindig

Eden's birthday party was super low-key....no theme or fancy decorations....and it was so GREAT!

It was a dress-up party and Eden was super excited to wear her new "taleda."
Eden and Claire's birthdays are 1 day apart so we did a joint party.  Cute little birthday girls :)
We started off decorating cupcakes.  A little messy, but so yummy and fun!
Eden couldn't wait to start eating her cup cake!
We threw some candles in her half-eaten cup cake and sang Eden's favorite song.

The girls were spoiled with amazing gifts from her generous friends.  Eden's favorites were make-up, hand sanitizer, princess notebook and pen, and the new Barbie movie.

Eden's 4th Birthday

This little girl talked about her birthday for months.  It's actually a very popular topic between she and Milan.  Eden woke up on her birthday to a decorated house and tons of presents.  Of course, she wanted to open presents right away!  (Love that cute bed hair!)
She had her first cupcakes and happy birthday song at preschool.  Next, we had friends over for pizza and she asked that we sing happy birthday before dinner.  We sang one more time during cupcakes....so much fun!
This is one happy birthday girl!
(Miss Cora was also a big fan of cupcakes!)

Eden's 4 year old pictures

Eden has a love/hate thing with photography.  She loves to pretend that she is doing newborn pictures with her babies, loves the ideas of me taking her picture and even loves the first couple pictures.  Then she hates it and is completely over it.  She was a picky little thing this time, she picked out her outfit then ran around showing me where she wanted her picture taken.  She is so darn cute!

We got a couple good pictures then she found some bunnies!
Then we just ran around trying to scare them, which I'm sure they loved.  This is Eden's super excited face.....she always clenches her fists and face and it's my favorite.

First Day of School

Milan was definitely ready to start 1st grade!  We miss having her at home during the day, but I know she is having a blast with Miss Johnson.

Here's Milan all ready to ride to school.
Eden wanted in on this picture.  They are so cute together!
Once we got to school, Milan saw her friend Carly, then was off to play. I had to call her back for a hug, then she was off again!  Milan is a social little lady!
Eden started her second year of preschool this week.  She picked out her own outfit and was ready to start school.  She has a lot of friends in her class this year and always loves her teachers!

Back to School

I decided one morning that I wanted to do back-to-school pictures with my cute girls.  I borrowed this cute desk from a friend and headed to my favorite field.  I LOVE how these turned out!  After about three minutes Eden declared she was done smiling for pictures, and she was, but I already had these cute pictures!
