Thankful

Thanksgiving weekend was wonderful and relaxing.  Dave did a couple of car projects for friends, I worked on my kitchen project a bit, and we both got to play with the girls.  We also set up our Christmas tree and put away our fall decorations.  I loved these cute thankful projects from Girl Scouts so I snapped a couple of pictures before they got packed up.  Milan is grateful for bubble gum, TV, Cora, Indie, Eden, Maddie, dad, and finally mom.  Eden highlighted family, house, friends, sun, TV, and presents.  My list may have differed from the girls, but we all have a lot to be grateful for.

Holiday Celebrations

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but we have already kicked off the holiday celebrations around here. Last weekend Milan participated in a musical number at the Gingerbread Display Ribbon Cutting.  She did a wonderful job and we had fun checking out all the creative displays.

Since we were in Council Bluffs, we swung by Bass Pro Shops to visit Santa Claus.  It was pretty early in the season so we got to see the jolly old guy without any lines!  It was perfect!  Milan asked for a microphone stand, Eden asked for a pink teddy bear, and Cora requested an Ariel Barbie.  They also posed for this cute picture!  (Excuse the photo of a photo.)  I am all finished with my Christmas shopping and now Santa can finish up their gifts too :).
Today we invited Milan's friend, Bailie, over for our annual graham cracker house decorating.  This year we used our old Halloween Candy, which was brilliant.  Everyone had a great time and ate way too much sugar.  Luckily, we had a beautiful day so the girls spent most of the day outside burning off energy and enjoying the day.

Thanksgiving break is off to a great start!  I could really get used to these low key holiday celebrations with our little family!

More Cora

This is Cora.  She is crazy and oh so fun!  This day she started off as a genie, then decided to be a witch for our errands.  She wore a little black witch hat and cackled at random strangers.  The people at Wal-mart weren't really sure about this kid, but the Menards shoppers were awesome.  They cackled back to our little witch and Cora had a grand old time.

Fall Concert

These pretty girls had their fall concert tonight.  Milan and Eden looked beautiful and did a wonderful job singing a couple patriotic songs!  Plus, as an added bonus, their short new dos were styled in a couple minutes and look adorable!

Leaves!!

Every year, the Cooks set up a huge leaf pile in their backyard underneath their playhouse.  We spotted the massive pile after our walk/scooter/bike ride and had to test it out.  The girls had SO MUCH FUN jumping, throwing leaves, and hiding in the pile!  Best neighbors ever!!!!

Baby Shower

I got to celebrate our new little lady with a baby shower.  My friends Tiana and Jamie were in charge and did an amazing job!  Tiana made the CUTEST decorations for the shower, which I got to bring home for little lady's nursery.  Jamie made tons of yummy brunch foods (I suggested box muffins and orange juice, but they went way beyond that.)  I invited some close friends and had a great time chit-chatting, snacking, opening gifts, and chit-chatting some more.   Baby girl was totally spoiled with cute outfits, diapers, and a new play mat.

3 weeks to go until my induction date and I am super excited to meet little miss, nervous about delivery and potential health issues, and feeling crunched to finish up last minute to-dos.
