Happy Easter!

Milan's first Easter was fun for the whole family! On Saturday, we went to a friends house for an egg hunt. Milan was too young to participate, but she was very happy to be held by dad outside and watch the other kids look for eggs. Afterwards, she sucked on the candy until she was able to get some smashed Snickers through the wrapper seams. Sunday, we had some challenges with Milan and the Easter dress........church is difficult most weeks because Milan hates to be contained and this Sunday the poofy Easter dress made her really angry. After we took her into the hall and tucked her dress into the bow, Milan was a happy little girl!

I have some great Easter pictures on my camera, but my camera has decided to stop tranfering pictures to my computer. So, I am using this opportunity to buy a nice camera and Photoshop and hopefully learn a little bit about photography. If you have any suggestions about cameras, please leave a comment!

I was just thinking about how the 'just because' things are so great. Dave surprised me with some 'just because' red roses this week and I was ecstatic. My friend Renae made me some 'just because' lemon bars on Friday and I was touched. I think I'll make some of Dave's favorite cookies 'just because' and maybe take some over to the new neighbors across the street......

Milan's Little Joys.....

Today was a normal Thursday for Milan and I (except that we haven't seen Dave all week and we miss him lots). We go to play group at the rec center every week and today Milan had fun playing with the blocks, stealing a bottle of pear juice from another little girl (with a very nice mom), eating food off the floor, and crawling away from the jungle gym and me so that she could climb the stairs.....she's a professional stair climber now, but she doesn't seem to realize that falling down stairs is dangerous.....if she does topple and I catch her, she just laughs and climbs back up.

Today, Milan especially enjoyed naptime because she was a very tired little girl. I believe that I mentioned something about this while she was awake for the 4th time last night :) So....I also enjoyed naptime this afternoon!

Some of Milan's other simple pleasures were playing contently with her toys in her room this morning after she woke up, chasing after the vacuum cleaner, playing with her little friend Haven (and all of his very cool toys), eating stuffing for the first time, dancing to my new Itunes, walking outside in the wind, playing Patti-Cake, and cuddling during Book Club.

Momentos from Tuesday.......

Here's Milan posing in front of all the closed doors.....I block off the bathroom because she likes to play with the toilet and the office because she likes to eat all the paper she can find.

We did get an early start on getting dressed this morning because we went to the gym bright and early, but I didn't get a chance to do her hair until later. Look at those elbow dimples.......SO CUTE!

Looks like the Little People I bought her are a big hit! She just got them today and she has been carrying her new toys all around the house. I didn't win my vintage Little People Farm on Ebay the first time around so I found some new options (cross your fingers :)
Yea for Little People!!!

Fun at the Library

This week Dave is in Casper training for his new job (He accepted a new opportunity with CAT; it was a tough decision but in the end CAT offered some benefits that we could not pass up.) I told Dave that I would try to blog every day and brighten his day with some cute pictures. Since I'm not planning on cooking a single meal this week, I should have some extra time for blogging :)

Milan and I went with some friends to the library to see the Cat in the Hat......Milan enjoyed the story, but the other things like 'Musical Chairs' were a little over her head so we found some fun toys to play with. The Rock Springs library has a GREAT kid's section and we are excited to go back!

The tugboat was a pretty competitive toy; after all the bigger kids gave up, Milan hopped in and had a blast rocking it back and forth. I can't believe how fast my little girl is growing up! She dances when music comes on, sings in the car when I am rocking out to the radio, shakes her head back and forth when we tell her "no" although she doesn't usually stop what she is doing, speed-crawls to the kitchen when she hears the dishwasher or fridge open and the best part is that she climbs in our laps when she wants cuddle-time. She's amazing and I love her SO SO SO much!

Play time at the library can make a little girl hungry! (I still haven't figured out where the other sock is......)
