The Princess and the Frog

Friday afternoon, we took Milan to watch The Princess and the Frog. Milan loved it and we loved watching her.....she was literally on the edge of her seat staring at the screen (she kinda had to be or she would have been folded up in the theatre seat) and then she cuddled with daddy for the scary parts. Dave and I liked it too and totally recommend it!

Getting So Big

Eden has problems listening and following directions.....I keep telling her to stay little and she keeps getting bigger. She is just growing up too dang fast...she's already in 6 month clothes.

Last night Eden was my date to Brook and Jen's awesome ugly sweater party.

Just the other day, I found her playing with dolls.

We just love this little girl so much! Time to stop growing up Eden!

The Mystery is Solved

My old point and shoot digital camera seemingly just stopped working one day. It was understandable.....I have had the camera for 5 years and it has been dragged through seven countries. I got a new digital camera on Black Friday....when I got around to setting up my new camera, I put in my old memory card. I found TONS of these pictures.....

Then she moved on to taking pictures of Eden.....

Well, I guess that explains that :)

Christmas Festivities

A couple of weekends ago, we had a Christmas Party at church....we all had a really fun time and Milan was super excited to meet Santa. We've been explaining that Santa brings presents for Christmas so she thinks he's a pretty fantastic guy. When it was her turn to talk to Santa, she ran up to him and gave him a hug. My two cute girls with santa.

That same night, we went to the Parade of Lights downtown. It was FREEZING so we bundled up the kids, put the heat on full blast, and they got to watch from the tailgate. The kids liked the lights and they got some pretty good candy for their efforts. It was too cold for Eden so I sacrificed myself and sat inside the car with the heated seats on ;).

Milan started receiving Christmas gifts this week.

She got to open The Night Before Christmas from Dave's parents....thanks grandma and papa.

My dad also sent some pre-Chritmas gifts. Milan's favorite is this pink talking phone. Dave and I have been looking for a volume adjustment but it seems like the only option is really LOUD (thanks dad :).

We have started putting presents under the tree and Milan can hardly stop herself from opening them now.

Tonight, we went to the library and Milan got to see Santa again. She gets excited every time and loves walking away with a candy cane! I love seeing such a happy little girl!

Here's Milan and her little friend Kaitlyn....they had a fun time sitting together during the program.

Hanging out at home

Milan has a pretty bad cold, which has pretty much shut us down as far as activities since I don't want to spread the germs to more kids. Oh, and it's freezing outside and a constant 70 degrees in our house so we've been hanging out at home. Today, Milan had her BFFs over for a little playdate (it's ok, they're sick too). They had a great time playing together and I snapped this cute picture when they were in the middle of rearranging ornaments. Milan and J.P. are getting married so I'll save this pic for the wedding slideshow.

I just can't get enough of Edenbug and her cute little smiles....I couldn't even narrow it down to just one picture so here you go....

She started laughing last Thursday and it's stinking adorable...Dave does a funny face that gets her cracking up every time.....if I ever figure out how to get videos off of the video camera then I'll put it on the blog.

Play Group

Milan is in two seperate play groups where I drop her off at her friend's houses to play for a couple of hours. When it's our turn, we watch all the kids at our house. I used to kind of dread our turn because Milan had such a hard time sharing her toys and spent the entire two hours going to time out, coming out of time out, throwing a tantrum/taking a toy from a friend/yelling "mine"/etc, going back to time out. This week all of our discussions about sharing actually sank in!!!! I was so happy to see Milan sharing all her toys and it was so much fun....Milan had a blast playing with her friends and I got to sit down and play with all the kids too. I'm so proud of my stubborn little girl :)

Tummy Time and Cute Smiles

So, tummy time is definitely not Eden's favorite time of the day, but I'm a mean mom and make her do it anyway.....okay not that mean, since I just flip her over when she gets angry about it. See.....she tolerates it for about two minutes.....

Then, she gets frustrated that she has to hold her head up to look around and would rather just be lazy so she cries until I come rescue her.

The rest of the time, we get to see these cute little smiles :)

BRRRRR.....

Lately we've had a lot of snow and chilly days so I have to bundle my girls up in their cute snow gear just to walk from the car to the grocery store. They don't even seem to mind the cold.....guess it's because they were both born in Wyoming!

It's beginning to look a lot like......

Christmas! I found a fake tree on super duper clearance sometime in March so we thought we would give it a try this year. After Dave set it up, he discovered that it rotates.....after Milan saw that, we haven't been allowed to turn it off.

Eden likes to lay on the floor and watch the tree.

Milan had a fun time with the decorating. She dressed up like the "Christmas princess" and was very serious about placing the ornaments.....good thing the tree rotates, or they would all be on the same branch.

Here's dad helping her put some extra decorations on the mantle.

Yesterday, we completed the look by adding the train set.

Voila....our masterpiece!

A Week with Grandpa Bob

Grandpa drove all the way out from Oregon to visit us for a week and spend Thanksgiving with our little family!

Grandpa Bob showed up Saturday night and Milan was over the top excited....she just danced, jumped, and ran around the house.

Sunday, Grandpa Bob surprised Milan with some fun gifts.....a ton of story books and a Strawberry Shortcake doll that she absolutely LOVES.

Then, Milan talked Grandpa Bob into playing outside in the snow.

Monday, they wrapped some presents for dad......Milan used the entire roll of tape making sure they were secure.

Then, Milan helped dad unwrap the presents....she's a real helper with things like that :)

Monday night I went to watch New Moon and Grandpa Bob hung out with Eden (who was supposed to be sleeping, but wasn't).

Tuesday, went to a birthday lunch with some friends while Milan hung out with her grandpa.

Wednesday, lunch at a friend's house and the kiddos hung out at home with dad and Grandpa Bob.

Thursday, lots of cooking, eating and dessert with friends.
Friday, grandpa Bob fixed Milan's princess car! We bought Milan a princess Power Wheel a year ago at a yard sale and it has never really worked.....grandpa fixed it and Milan LOVES to actually drive it instead of just playing with the radio. (I'll take pictures next time she goes cruis'n.) I also went Black Friday shopping at WalMart and went on a date with my awesome hubby for our anniversary!

Eden

Here's some new pictures of our little Eden!

Look at her extra little chin....so cute! She is already wearing 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

Bath time with daddy! Eden likes to relax in the bathtub and the warm water gets her ready for bedtime.

Here's Milan and Eden hanging out with daddy.
