Our First Week

Eden will be 1 week old in 12 hours and I can't believe how fast the time is flying (good thing I have taken A TON of pictures.) We have had a great week! Our friends and family have been awesome, which has made this an even more amazing time.

We have had lots of visitors. My friend Morgan was our first official visitor :).

My sister Marie and her husband Scott drove out and visited for a couple of days. Their company and help with Milan were absolutely wonderful! Milan loved visiting with them and has asked for Aunt Ree every day since they have left.

Uncle Scott was a real trooper and played the water balloon game with Milan. The game entails filling up water balloons so Milan can throw them on the ground and pop them. He filled up hundreds of balloons and Milan had a blast!

Milan has also been completely spoiled with gifts all week. Really, our little family has been spoiled all week and we are so appreciative!

My big girl! Milan has really embraced her role as big sister and seems to have grown up over the past couple of days.....she has been doing more stuff by herself and even has some patience when I am feeding Eden. Lucky Eden gets at least 50 kisses a day from her big sister!

Eden has been doing a lot of this over the past week......

She wakes up once in a while and we get to see her pretty blue eyes :)

Since we're not really into hanging out at home, especially during the last weeks of nice weather, we started venturing out on Monday. I haven't taken Eden to any public places, but we have been visiting with friends, going to play group, going for walks, and playing at the park. It's really been a great week!

Baby Sister

The newest member of the Scott family was born on Thursday, September 3rd at 12:21 weighing in at 7 lb 4 oz :) We went into the hospital Wednesday night and they gave me Cervadil to start my labor.....it worked and I woke up with contractions on Thursday morning. Even though I requested drugs for hours, my epidural only started working at the last minute (but I'm very glad it worked for that part :).
Our little family

Here's our little girl's first bath. She was a little chilly after she came out, so they gave her a chance to warm up then gave her a bath later in the evening. She of course hated the actual bath, but loved the hair washing.

All clean and pretty with her little hair bow:)

Hanging out with daddy

Milan absolutely loves her baby sister and wants to hug and kiss her all the time. She is a little disappointed about baby sister's lack of activity (we hear a lot of "baby sister wake-up?") and we have to constantly say things like, "remember, no jumping on baby sister," "baby sister can't eat pretzels yet," and "baby sister can't say prayers yet, your turn."

My three loves!

So tiny.....

We left the hospital on Friday morning without an official name....we have until tomorrow at 5 pm to decided so I'll update the blog soon. I am feeling great and the baby is doing great too. We have been soooo lucky to have Marie and Scott here for the past couple of days to help out and mostly play with Milan. Dave has been back at work so it has seriously been awesome to have them here.....if only they didn't have jobs and could stay all month :) We are also so blessed to have such WONDERFUL friends bringing meals, watching Milan while we were in the hospital, and constantly offering to help out.
