More Cora

This is Cora.  She is crazy and oh so fun!  This day she started off as a genie, then decided to be a witch for our errands.  She wore a little black witch hat and cackled at random strangers.  The people at Wal-mart weren't really sure about this kid, but the Menards shoppers were awesome.  They cackled back to our little witch and Cora had a grand old time.

Fall Concert

These pretty girls had their fall concert tonight.  Milan and Eden looked beautiful and did a wonderful job singing a couple patriotic songs!  Plus, as an added bonus, their short new dos were styled in a couple minutes and look adorable!

Leaves!!

Every year, the Cooks set up a huge leaf pile in their backyard underneath their playhouse.  We spotted the massive pile after our walk/scooter/bike ride and had to test it out.  The girls had SO MUCH FUN jumping, throwing leaves, and hiding in the pile!  Best neighbors ever!!!!

Baby Shower

I got to celebrate our new little lady with a baby shower.  My friends Tiana and Jamie were in charge and did an amazing job!  Tiana made the CUTEST decorations for the shower, which I got to bring home for little lady's nursery.  Jamie made tons of yummy brunch foods (I suggested box muffins and orange juice, but they went way beyond that.)  I invited some close friends and had a great time chit-chatting, snacking, opening gifts, and chit-chatting some more.   Baby girl was totally spoiled with cute outfits, diapers, and a new play mat.

3 weeks to go until my induction date and I am super excited to meet little miss, nervous about delivery and potential health issues, and feeling crunched to finish up last minute to-dos.

Hair Cuts

Eden has been asking for a hair cut for weeks now.  I sold her on being Merida for Halloween so that bought me a little time, then as soon as Halloween was over, she brought it up again.  Eden wanted short hair like her friends Julia and Winnie and I'm sure she will love the convenience of it (she is always toasty, hates water being sprayed in the morning, and dislikes having her hair in a hood in the winter.)  Eden wanted her hair super duper short, so we compromised with chin-length and I have to admit she look adorable!  Today was the first day sporting her new do' to school and she LOVED all the attention and positive comments!

While we were at the hair dresser, Milan impulsively decided to get some length chopped off and also looks adorable!  Cora tolerated a trim, once we promised it would just be a tiny bit of hair, so that she can continue to grow her hair out like Rapunzel.  The hair dresser even put Cora's hair back into "baby piggies" and Cora was a happy camper.

Fall Photos

We had a free afternoon, beautiful weather, and pretty fall colors so what do you think we did?  Pictures of course.  I almost talked myself out of doing fall pictures of my girls since I am busy with photography (well lots of things actually) and these pictures of "all" my girls will be outdated shortly.  But, Eden is going to chop off her hair this week so it was the perfect excuse to capture these little ladies right now and I'm glad I did.  The girls spent the entire "session" sprinting around in circles and posing for a picture every once in a while.  All of Cora's pictures are mid-jump.  I'm glad I was able to capture a little bit of these fun personalities!

November 1st!

Can I just toot my own horn for a second....I am blogging something we did yesterday!!  Of course, I recognize that this is bound to change when the new little lady gets here, but being caught up feels great for now, go me!

Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous so we decided to go for a walk.  The girls got to pick the location and they suggested the Pedestrian Bridge from Iowa to Nebraska.  Check out Milan's picture on the bridge, she's standing in Iowa and Nebraska at the same time!  (Woot, woot, we do what we can for entertainment here in the Midwest.)  We had a wonderful walk with the girls and Kyle and Sarah, whom we invited last minute.  When we got to the other side, Eden asked to sit down and rest, which turned into an hour of gymnastics, dance performances, rolling down grassy hills, and picking flowers.  It felt just like summer and it was perfect!  We got home late with a sleeping Cora, ate cereal for dinner, and went to bed ready to start a new week.
