Cora Ashley

Cora is my little pal during the day and she is such a joy to hang out with.  She keeps me smiling with her cute comments and little girl voice.  She is getting more stubborn and tries to do whatever she wants even after I tell her no.  We are working on that.  She loves playing with her sisters "Wa-wan" and "E-en bug."  She is very excited whenever she sees her friends Tori and Kelsey and often greets them with a hug.  Her favorite toys are Polly Pockets, My Little Ponies, Barbies, and Legos. When she and I are playing together, she loves to do puzzles and play games.  Sometimes she asks me to tickle her and her most ticklish spot is her neck.  She also loves when I smell her feet and say "stinky feet!"  Sometimes, she helps me with chores around the house.  She likes to stay up late getting drinks, special toys, and sitting with dad whenever he is home.  That tendency leads to some funny nap times (sleeping seems to be a reoccurring theme in these pictures.)  My phone pictures are not the best quality, but some moments are just too cute not to photograph.

Cora loves putting library books in the slot and the librarians think she is pretty adorable.

She put away dad's socks and told him all about it 5 hours later.  I wish I was that excited about laundry!

Happy St. Paddy's Day

We love St. Patrick's Day around here!  In the past, we have tried to trap the sneaky Leprechauns, but this year the girls made them cute woven place mats instead.  The Leprechauns seemed to be so happy about their gifts, they didn't play any tricks on us, and left us some fun photo props, yummy cookies, Lucky Charms, and green milk.  Eden told me that she prefers tricks, but they were all so excited about their fun treats, they wanted some pictures.  Of course, I thought that was a great idea!  (Just look at those cute girls!)

We also enjoyed our annual green dinner with green zucchini casserole, green jello, broccoli, green watermelon juice.  Our holiday dinners are always a family favorite :)

Joslyn Art Museum

Laid back Saturdays are my favorite.  The girls get to wear whatever they want and pick what we do for the day.  We all decided to try out the art museum kid's area with our friends, the Udalls, and it was PERFECT for my creative ladies.  It was such a hit that we stayed for 4 hours!

Eden's Perspective

I gave the girls an old Point-and-Shoot Camera to use and Eden was the first to snatch it up.  She was quite the little photographer for 2 days (intermittently because of the camera's short battery life and Eden's excitement for photography haha.)  Here is a small sampling of her work.

Valentine's Day

I did Valentine's Pictures of my girls last year and loved how they turned out so I made it a priority again this year.  We woke up to a super snowy day so I decided it would be perfect.  I got the girls dressed then loaded up in the car, but my car was not interested in leaving the driveway.  So we found a plan B and just did pictures in the back alley. I took each girl into the backyard for about 5 minutes and love some of our shots!

We did heart mailboxes again this year for the month of February and the girls loved waking up to fun surprises most mornings.  Eden was sure to remind me every night so I wouldn't forget.

Friday, we did Milan's class party.  I am the room mom so this party we did ice cream sundaes, Hershey Kiss Memory, "stained glass" art craft, and a fun Musical Hearts game.

Milan made her own Valentines out of black card stock, foam hearts, and feathers and was very proud of her creations.

We also celebrated with a Red Family Dinner with heart pizza, red jello, strawberries, and a special drink with ice cream, cherry pop and licorice straws.

Dave and I even got to go on a date a week later complete with door opening and red roses :).
