We celebrated Father's Day at Rocky Mountain and it was awesome! It's always fun to spend time with Dave and the beautiful scenery was just a bonus! We saw a moose on the drive then stop in Nederland to ride the Carousel of Happiness, eat a pretty good Thai lunch, and enjoy some yummy ice cream! We were a little worried about how much "happiness" would cost but it was only a buck and Cora loved this er-unique Merman.

Butterfly Pavilion
Chip, Andrea, Stella, and Grandma Kat flew out and we had a great time visiting! We enjoyed snuggling baby Stella, blowing bubbles, playing in the pool, visiting parks, and seeing a lot of fun Denver sites! We went to the Oasis on the first day and it was a blast! There was no way I could have watched all the girls around the whole park though so I was so thankful to have some help. Chip and Milan went down the slide, Eden and Grandma Kat hung out the whole time, and I watched Cora in the baby pool until she passed out on the sidewalk, then I did some sliding with Milan. It was the perfect activity for a hot summer day!
The next day, we headed to the Butterfly Pavilion. The Butterflies loved Dave and we all had a great time!
Stella looks a little concerned about all the affection from Cora haha!
Pierced Ears, Oh My!
Milan has been asking to get her ears pierced for a while so we did it on her birthday. Is she spoiled or what??? Eden got caught up in the excitement and got hers done too! They were both so brave! When it hurt, they flinched a little bit, but didn't cry. When it was done, they were so excited about their new bling, the forgot all about it! They look so grown up and of course beautiful! Cora thought she wanted to get her ears pierced too, but was satisfied with a sucker. Win-win!
Milan's Happy Birthday!
Milan's birthday was quite the schindig this year! We threw her a surprise party in Laramie with her 3 BFFs! Dave took Milan to Laramie separately so he could "get his motorcycle license and they could maybe see Emma." Tricky us! Eden, Cora, and I drove down after they left and set up Milan's party. We were all super excited for the surprise part.....Cora was so excited she could not stop herself from jumping around and acting crazy! I thought she might give it away, but we totally pulled it off so well that it took a little while for it to all sink in with Milan. She had a WONDERFUL time! They caught up on the first grade gossip, ran around the park for a couple of hours, dove into the Hannah Montana cake, thoroughly enjoyed their rock star goodies, and opened some amazing gifts. Milan has such thoughtful friends and got an American Girl Doll Horse from us, which helped make her amazing day even more amazing!
After the party, Dave had to drive home for work and the girls and I stayed the rest of the weekend with the Fowlers. We had a great time catching up with friends. The only picture I took was when Eden told me, "Look mom, I'm a peacock." Yep. Awesome little ladies and awesome friends; it was a great weekend in Laramie!

Milan's 7 Year Old Pictures
I might be a little biased, but I have a stunning 7 year-old. She seems to have grown up so much this year, especially when I look at her 6 year old pictures. Milan is such a wonderful helper and can be a great example for her sisters. She has an amazing sense of humor and I love having real conversations with her. She is very social and loves her friends. She is tender-hearted and still sad about leaving her Laramie friends so I am very excited for her surprise birthday party in Wyoming on Friday (yay, go me!)
Milan and I went shopping for her picture outfit and decided on super tight skinny jeans (her request) and this cute yellow tank top we both liked. Milan wanted her pictures to be downtown Denver, but settled for downtown Brighton since I had to take the other girls and wanted to be able to keep track of them easier. After a little while, Milan started making up her own poses and we just went with that. At the very end, I set the timer on my camera so we could get a picture together. We had a very cute photo-bomber in the very last picture.

Pueblo, Colorado
Dave has been wanting to buy a new truck for a while now. I make fun of him all the time because he already has 2 trucks and 2 motorcycles!! Ha ha! Really, he is doing everything in his power to make sure we are financially prepared for dental school and purchasing a less expensive vehicle is just another way he is taking care of us. Can you tell I think he's pretty awesome?!? Anyways, he found a truck in Pueblo so we took a last minute family adventure. After we drove 3 hours, the seller never called us back! Since we were already there and hoping to hear from the seller, we stuck around all day. We explored the McDonald's Playland, Lake Pueblo State Park, a little city park, and best of all, an awesome amusement park! The girls seriously loved the rides and since they were only 25 cents each, they got to ride everything they wanted several times. Milan's favorite ride was the mini roller coaster.....she kept her hands up and a big smile on her face every time. Eden was super excited for the roller coaster, but then looked petrified the entire time and vowed never to ride it again. Eden and Cora both loved the carousel though. Dave loved riding with the girls, even though he was a little big for some of the rides. I loved watching their excitement and snapping a couple of pictures (with my phone, not my real camera dang it!) It was a wonderful kick off to summer!

Last Day of School
I have been counting down to Milan's last day of school for weeks. I just love having my kids home with me and I'm ready for fun summer adventures!! Miss Milan on her last day! She has become quite the little fashionista this past year....she has opinions about her clothes and hair and you gotta love that cute toothy smile! (By the way, she never wiggles her teeth, just patiently waits until they fall out on their own.)
We celebrated Milan's last day with a fun sleep over with her BFF Jazzy. Dave brought home a turtle he found at work to show the girls. They all really wanted to keep him as a pet, but he kept hissing and trying to bite us. I guess he wasn't too excited about that idea. Instead, we let him loose in the front yard and the girls kept tabs on him all night.
Milan, Jazzy, and Eden stayed up until 11 PM giggling and playing Truth or Dare. My girls have not mastered the art of sleeping in so they were up at 6 AM! Of course, they are downstairs watching a show right now because they do not function well on a little bit of sleep.
