And the Summer Fun Continues......

It has started to feel like fall with cooler temps in the mornings and evenings.  I don't mind fall, but I am not ready to end summer so we are enjoying every last minute!

We spent some time at the Albany County fair checking out the animals.  Milan thinks she wants to join 4H when she is 8 and raise a bunny.  Eden thinks that they should have monkeys at the fair.

We visited Arts in the Park where we visited some llamas, made necklaces, and listened to music.  Milan really wanted to dance, but it wasn't really that kind of music.
Milan also got her face painted, but then ran through the splash pad so it was short-lived.  Good thing I got a picture!
Milan was invited to a fun mini-golfing party.  While Milan was golfing with her friends, I spent some special time with Eden.  She loved to hit the ball once per hole, then she picked it up and moved on to the next spot.

We hit up school lunch a couple of times a week.  I'm not sure how much the girls really eat, but they like running around the gym with their friends afterwards :)
Of course, we are spending as much time as possible playing at the park and swimming on warm days.

Eden's favorite park activity is eating snacks!

Eden still takes a nap every afternoon so the whole family gets some downtime.  I love having a chance to spend time with Milan, get some stuff done, and sneak away for a little nap with Cora.

Here we are enjoying a beautiful evening at Ivinsion Mansion....the girls snapped a couple of pictures, then ran around playing.

Cheyenne

Last week we headed to Cheyenne for some summer fun.  First stop was the Botanical Gardens Children's Village....I wasn't sure what to expect and I was super impressed.  They had fun little wading pools, water features, flowers, and musical instruments.  The girls had a blast and could have definitely stayed all day.

We took a break for lunch (we tried Panda Express and it was not a hit....guess they take after dad on that one) then headed over to little lake with a sandy beach.  The girls LOVED playing in the sand and building sand castles!
Eden and Brenna carefully made potted trees..so creative!
And.....the biggest hit of the entire day was the ice cream truck!!!  The kids were so excited they stood on the sidewalk jumping and cheering until the ice cream truck got to them.  Who knew that some Push-Ups could make these kiddos so happy!?!?!

Vedauwoo

Even though we have lived in Laramie for almost two years, we just went to Vedauwoo for the first time this month.  Then, we went for the second time and third time. (We have gone riding around Vedauwoo several times, but had never gone to the actual campground.) We have discovered a great little adventure 18 miles from home!

On our first trip, we hiked a little trail with friends, ate a little picnic dinner, and climbed rocks until it was dark.

On our second trip, we were going to ride bikes on a fun little trail, but we ran into a Moose and her calf so we just ate our Subway dinner and climbed rocks.  I'm not sure what the kids loved more....feeding the chipmunks Oreos, pigging out on junk food, playing on rocks, or hanging out with some of their favorite friends, the Perritons.

Me and Suzette.
 Some crazy kids :)
Strike a pose!  The girls wanted a funny picture so here it is....

Eden though she was pretty special when she got a turn on this "chair."

We took a last minute trip last weekend....just threw the bbq in the back of my truck and had a great picnic with friends and got a chance to ride bikes on the trail.  Cora enjoyed her little ride in the stroller!

Cute Little Cora

I have so many cute pictures of our little Cora, I thought I would share some of my favorites!  Her hair is pretty crazy in every single picture and I think it's pretty great.
Cora has recently become more interested in toys and will play with her swing toys or play mat for a while.
She doesn't usually get to play by herself for too long though :)
She has some of the cutest expressions.....

Look at those little spit bubbles
 Cute sisters.

Cora and her little friend Kinley....these two little girls get to spend a lot of time together.
Such a cute little sleeping face and I love her pretty eyelashes.  I just can't get enough of our nighttime snuggles.

July Fun

Despite missing Dave and having to move, July has been a great month full of summer fun.  Our favorite spots are the Rec Center Pool, Wading Pool, and the Splash Pad.

Milan has become such a little climber!

Milan wanted to pose for this picture and Eden tried to copy her....so cute!
 This is Milan's "princess face."
Cora is very content to lay on the ground happily kicking whenever we are out and about.

Eden got her hands on a spray bottle and thought it was the best thing ever!
Something recently clicked with Milan and she has turned into a little fish.  She loves swimming under water and I'm so proud of her.
Eden is getting braver in the water too!  She loves swimming, but her favorite thing to do is pretending to spray sunscreen complete with the "ssssss" sound.  Sounds funny, but you'd have to see her in action, it's pretty cute!
When we're not swimming, we're having play dates, going to the library, summer movies, and fun parties at our friends' houses.

Milan and her friend Averie in their cute matchy-matchy swimsuits.
Eden really loved her Klondike Bar, but it got a little messy :)
This was another fun swim party.....water balloons, while jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath....so much water fun, what's a girl to do?
