First Snow

This morning we woke up to a ton of snow!!  I wasn't too excited, but the girls couldn't wait to play in it!  We got them all bundled up with a little time to spare before school started so they got to play for a little while.  (We also learned that we outgrew a lot of our snow gear so we had to do a little shopping this afternoon :)).
Cora wasn't too sure about the snow business.  Just a couple days ago she was running around barefoot outside and now she has to wear several layers.  She'll get used to it!

Miss Cora (16 1/2 months)

Well, let me start this post by saying that Cora is totally crazy!  She climbs on top of everything that she can.  She won't wear shoes, but likes to play with other people's shoes.  She won't sit in the high chair to eat.  She stands on her chair so she can be big like her sisters.  She is very picky about what she will be eat....she has to be in the mood for a certain food.  She eats banana peels.  She likes to take a bite out of each apple in the bowl then hurl the apple to the ground.  She likes to eat crab apples.  She is a very cautious little climber.  She loves keys, her blankie, and bottles of warm milk.  We can't leave pens anywhere....she recently decorated the inside of my car.  She says ma-ma, wa-wa, da-da, wee, na, ya, and ba-dl.  She has a major under bite and can put her bottom teeth over her top lip.  She looks like a sheep dog when she wakes up.  She can open doors and likes to head outside whenever she can.  She will not hold hands.

And she is so sweet!  She sometimes pats my back when we hug.  She likes to snuggle on the couch and watch tv.  She also likes to sit next to the girls and do whatever they are doing (watch tv or read a book.)  And she is the cutest little sleeper.....

Horseback Riding

Milan told me that she is over horses and her new thing is cowgirls!! That was no surprise to hear....she is obsessed with horses!  She loves to watch Horseland and read books about horses.  We were lucky to have an opportunity to go horseback riding tonight and Milan LOVED it!  She rode this little guy, named Pete, the entire night.  When she first got on, I tried to help her, but she said that she already read about how to get on a horse. (It turns out that I have a lot to learn about horses!  A 12 year old girl thought I was ready to handle my own reigns...I almost got thrown off so I guess I wasn't :))

Eden loved the idea of horseback riding, but she was a little nervous about taking her turn.  When she got used to it, she said, "mom, I am being so brave!"  I am so proud of this little lady!

Dinner in the mountains

It was a perfect Sunday evening!  We packed up our tin foil dinners, put on our "adventure" clothes and met some friends in the mountains for a fun time!  After a little while we heard crack, crack, crack, crack, crack,.....scream!  Milan fell out of a tree, but recovered pretty quickly when she realized that her friends were more fun than listening to adult conversation.

The other girls were off exploring and Cora totally wanted to go with them, but I had to reign her in.  That made her the easiest to photograph (and it helps that she is oh so cute!)

Playing in the dirt is always a hit!  Everyone had a great time!

Just like daddy

The other day we were hanging out at home when I looked over and noticed Cora putting on daddy's glasses and hat all by herself.  She sure pulls off this look!

And of course homework is always better when you have a cute little helper to do all the highlighting!

Buddy Walk

Today we did the Buddy Walk and I'm already blogging about it....man, I'm on a roll!!  Keeping track of all the girls, including crazy miss Cora, in large crowds of people can be hectic.  We managed to come home with the whole family and the girls had a great time so it was success.  We started off at Washington Park with games, music, and dancing on stage.  We did a short walk, ate lunch at tailgate park, got some free crap at the booths, jumped on the jump houses (that's where it was almost impossible to keep track of the kiddos!), ate TONS of junk food, and watched the football game until we spotted thunder and lightening. We didn't think lightening and bleachers were a good idea and the kids were running out of junk food so we took off.  Love these fun activities for the kids!
Ended the night at a bbq at our friends, the Chamberlians, and we had so much fun!  I have to say that we have met some great friends in Laramie and we really like it here!

Summer Photo Shoot

While my sister was here, we had the brilliant idea of getting a picture of all the cousins.

My sister put in a solid effort to get the girls to smile, but Cora would not crack (I think she was teething.)  Love this picture right here though!
My pretty ladies!

The only way to get all the cousins together in a picture was to confine the littles in the wagon :)
Love these pictures of Brynn and Marie!
