Fall Family Pics

I have been wanting new family pics for a while....last weekend my friend was super nice and offered to take our pictures with my camera.  Of course the pretty fall leaves were pretty much gone, the lighting was terrible, and Eden was not super enthusiastic about this project, BUT we managed to get a couple of good ones.  I've already warned Dave about more pictures in the near future :)

My FAVORITE!

Eden's face is hilarious....yep, less than enthusiastic.
We busted out the marshmallows and got some smiles!

Fall Fun

I have dragged Dave to corn mazes for years....he was able to take a 3 year break while we lived in Rock Springs (it would have been a little ridiculous to drive 3 hours for corn maze fun) BUT when I discovered a pumpkin patch and corn maze in Fort Collins, Dave knew he was in trouble.  Well, he may not have known right away, since I woke him up at 12:30 with the news, but the next morning Milan and I were excited for our little family adventure.  Lucky for us, Dave and Eden are good sports!
Milan's first choice was the tractor pull.

The petting zoo was also a big hit!

Milan was our leader through the corn maze and she loved it!  She skipped, ran, and laughed through the whole maze.  She did an awesome job through the kid's maze then got us lost in the bigger maze so we eventually just pretended the entrance was the exit so she felt pretty dang successful!
Eden just enjoyed the ride.

Some cute kids!

The hay play area.  Milan ran along all the hay bales for a while then decided jumping was more fun.

Eden's favorite part was playing catch with the pumpkins.  Daddy is always game for game of rolling pumpkins so they hung out here for a while!
Such a great family day!  (We even snuck in a little bit of shopping since we were in Fort Collins.)

Favorite Toy

Eden's favorite toy isn't even a toy......she LOVES to play on totes.  More specifically, she cannot get enough of these under-the-bed totes.

She likes to climb on them, sit on them, and push them around the house.

Sometimes Milan gets in on the action.  They did this all by themselves and we didn't even notice until we heard Milan's muffled voice.  Afterwards we had a little chat about air supply.

Apparently, Dave can get them going pretty fast since Milan felt the need for a windshield.....

Oh yeah, Eden learned to pull up on October 3rd in this very spot.  She is now getting brave and trying to stand on her own for a couple of seconds at a time.  I'm not sure I'm crazy about her new higher vantage point.....she seems to like it though :)

Pictures

Yesterday evening, I decided that it was time for more pictures of the girls so I cuted up the girlies, drug my husband away from his homework, loaded up the kid's toy box for a seat, headed to an alley downtown,  and bribed the kids with Smarties while I took pictures for 10 minutes until the last traces of daylight were gone.......  I LOVE having new pictures of my girls!

Sprinkler Day

Today was beautiful so we busted out the sprinkler and these two little girls had a blast!  We certainly approve of mid 80s at the end of September!

Our Little Ballerina!!

Milan excitedly started dance classes on Saturday.  Parents weren't allowed to watch (LAME) so I found a way to discreetly watch through the studio window from my truck.....I was so glad I did because it was quite possibly THE cutest thing I have ever seen.  My next objective is finding a way to take pictures of this little girl in action.......

ScHoOL DayS

Preschool is in full swing and so far so good.  I think 5 days a week might be a tad much.....there have been a couple of days where she protested for a couple of minutes about going....of course she loved it once we were there.  I've volunteered in her class a couple of times....mostly so I can see what they do since Milan is weirdly quiet about preschool.  It turns out that they do a lot of really great stuff and Milan is learning a ton!

Here's our other student on his lunch break.  This one does A LOT of studying, but is always excited for the picnic lunches that Eden and I bring to campus.  Eden is apparently very serious about her Cheetos in this picture.

FYI....pushing a stroller with kids through campus tends to attract some attention.....they must not be used to seeing us old people :)
