Super Easter Week

Holy Moly......we had lots of fun activities to celebrate Easter this week.  These little girls were pretty spoiled this year......
Wednesday, we had an egg hunt at play group and even though the girls sported ghetto Wal-Mart bags, they  loved it!  Everybody brought 10 eggs per kid then we went home with 10 eggs and lots of yummy candy!

Here they are checking out their loot :)
Must have been something good!
After the egg hunt, Milan and Jack played this for a while....they are so cute together.
Thursday, Milan and I went to the pool for another egg hunt (we were already at the pool for swim lessons, but we'll probably skip this one next year.)  Milan's lining up with her friends getting ready for the hunt.
So happy!
Before the egg hunt, Milan had her last day of swim lessons.  Here she is jumping in the deep pool.
Milan has gotten much more comfortable in the water.....now she'll go in the deep end with a life jacket without holding on for dear life and she'll even put her whole face in the water without goggles....well, sometimes.  She's pretty proud of her certificate.....we'll be in level 1 for a while.....glad she loves it!
No school on Friday so it was the perfect day for egg coloring.  Milan came into our room first thing in the morning asking about coloring eggs, but we held her off until we returned from a little shopping trip to Cheyenne.

Here's 2 eager little girls!
They started off with clothes for about 5 minutes....then we had topless egg coloring :)
Eden seemed to like it.  She also liked eating boiled eggs with the shell on.
Dave made me a cute Mom egg (it said I was eggcelent :)
Saturday, we went to the University for a couple more egg hunts.  Milan rocked the first hunt and sprinted to where the eggs were hidden, but Eden's little legs just couldn't get her there very fast.  So glad Milan offered to share her eggs with Eden.
Here's a happy little Edenbug!
Milan posing for a picture.
Milan was super excited to meet the Easter Bunny.  Eden didn't want anything to do with the guy.
Milan LOVES to walk around the campus with daddy.  She told Dave she wants to see the inside of every building.....good thing they have 2-3 more years :)
Today was also wonderful!  Milan woke up super excited about Easter Baskets and eggs hidden all around the house. We played Milan's new games while she patiently waited for Eden to wake up.  Eden's first word this morning was egg.  The girls LOVED the egg hunt in our house.....they got a ton of eggs and Eden was especially proud of herself.  I love these years of magic!!!!!  Church was wonderful then we had a couple of friends over for a yummy Easter dinner!

One of Those Days

Today was one of those days.  You know, when you decide not to worry about being anywhere, cleaning the house, or taking a shower before nap time.   I just sat on the floor and appreciated being at home with my cute girls while they're still small.  We played, drew, and ate.  It was super fun.

Here's Eden and I after her naptime.  She is cutting all of her canine teeth so her cute little smile is going to be more grown-up.

Easter Cookies

We had a fun and very messy play date with friends this morning!  The kiddos got to make yummy Easter cookies and they LOVED it!
This was one happy little Eden!  Her favorite part was eating cookie dough....she got to try it once then she did whatever possible to get herself some more.
Of course, Milan loved every aspect of making, frosting, and decorating cookies!

Colorado

Saturday we headed to Fort Collins for a little family outing.  We did a little shopping then decided to enjoy the sunshine at the park.  We stopped by McDonalds for our fancy shmancy picnic lunch.....the kids were too in love with their fries to even look at me.......

Milan loves to hang from everything now.
Eden loves the slide and the big girl swings
(no baby swings for her!)
It was a wonderful day!

Easter Egg Hunt

We kicked off the egg hunting season in true Wyoming fashion.  Milan had a great time hunting for eggs in her winter coat and Eden was too cold to be bothered.  We were back in the truck 17 minutes later.

School Picture

This class picture is just for my records (and I paid $10 bucks for it so I might as well do something with it.)  Milan is the shortest person in her entire class so she got to sit in the front row.  (I'm totally surprised about her height; she is one of the youngest in her class, but I still thought she would be super tall.)  Let's see if she can move up on the bleachers next year :)

Rec Center

Winter has been dragging on and I am over it!  Yesterday, I was ready to get out of the house and find some new toys so we headed to the playroom at the rec center!  It's a great little area set up for pretend play and the kids LOVED it (for about an hour then we had to find other activities to fill our day.)

Eden doing what she does best....throwing the ball and shouting "ba!"
Little Miss Milan.
This was the nest that Milan made......Eden thought it was pretty neat too!
Milan likes to use the "gymnastics mats" for all of her tricks!

I am soooo ready for constant warm weather......bike rides, walks, the park, walking leisurely to the truck without worrying about the wind, and spray parks!
