Our Weekend

This picture pretty much sums up our weekend. Milan's top 4 teeth are in various phases of coming in all at the same time so she wouldn't tolerate anything but being held and rocked. She's not usually cuddly so we were pretty worried, but she seems to be doing better today (yea!:)

My Little Walker

Milan started walking last week and we are very excited for her! She loves to walk to her ball-popper toy and the push-trike. Dave and I can sometimes entice her to walk towards us if we are holding something irresistable (like a camera or cell phone) and she is in the right mood :).

Happy 10 Month Birthday!

Milan is 10 months today! Dave and I like to sneak into Milan's room and watch her sleep right before we go to bed. Last night while we watching her sleep, we couldn't stop whispering about how big she is getting. Part of me is sad that Milan is growing up so fast, but of course we love watching her develop new skills and her individual personality.

Good Times with Aunt Marie

My sister, Marie, is a teacher and she has a really rough work schedule where she gets a week off in spring :). We were lucky that Marie decided to spend her spring break in Rock Springs and enjoy tropical 40 degree weather with us. I introduced her to the stay-at-home mom lifestyle and we took Milan for walks, went shopping, had a couple of lunch dates and playgroups, and bought Milan her first pairs of casual shoes (which she will not wear for longer than a couple of minutes.) We all enjoyed visiting with Aunt Marie and can't wait for her next visit!

Happy Easter!

Milan's first Easter was fun for the whole family! On Saturday, we went to a friends house for an egg hunt. Milan was too young to participate, but she was very happy to be held by dad outside and watch the other kids look for eggs. Afterwards, she sucked on the candy until she was able to get some smashed Snickers through the wrapper seams. Sunday, we had some challenges with Milan and the Easter dress........church is difficult most weeks because Milan hates to be contained and this Sunday the poofy Easter dress made her really angry. After we took her into the hall and tucked her dress into the bow, Milan was a happy little girl!

I have some great Easter pictures on my camera, but my camera has decided to stop tranfering pictures to my computer. So, I am using this opportunity to buy a nice camera and Photoshop and hopefully learn a little bit about photography. If you have any suggestions about cameras, please leave a comment!

We have a new favorite hairstyle and I think it is so freakin cute......here are some pictures :)

I was just thinking about how the 'just because' things are so great. Dave surprised me with some 'just because' red roses this week and I was ecstatic. My friend Renae made me some 'just because' lemon bars on Friday and I was touched. I think I'll make some of Dave's favorite cookies 'just because' and maybe take some over to the new neighbors across the street......
