Indie's 2

Indie is 2, and I have lots to say about my last baby becoming a toddler.  But it took so long to upload these pics that I'm headed to bed and will be back to write all about this amazing little lady later.......

12/17/17- I have to write this down!  I taught Indie to say "Stop it dad!"  She even does it with her pointer finger out.  It's the cutest thing!  Also, when Dave and I were feeding her a snack yesterday, we would present her options and she would shake her head "no" until we offered yogurt and she said "yeah."  All I have ever wanted was to know what Indie is thinking and we are there!  I am giddy about everything she is learning!  

Our Last Hike of the Year??

Two weeks ago, back when we still had beautiful weather and Dave hadn't started finals yet, we had an amazing family hike!  We drove to Two Rivers State Park and had the whole place to ourselves.  There was lots of climbing, throwing leaves, and finding sticks.  Cora found some super special treasures- a "c" stick and mini pine tree- that she completely fell in love with.  The best part was finding the park at the end of our hike and playing until the sun went down.

We're getting new carpet, which meeeans we get to play with bubbles.  In the house!

Fall Concert

Today was the girl's fall concert so my plan was to have everyone take a quick shower, do hair, and we could document their fancy-schmancy outfits in some pretty light.  Of course, there are always hiccups in my plan.  Always.  But, everyone's hair was dry for the actual concert, Indie slept at home with Dave, and I got to watch my girls do a wonderful job on stage!  

Leaves

All the neighborhood trees lost the last of their leaves this weekend AND it was beautiful weather so the older girls had a blast playing outside.  Indie wanted nothing to do with the leaves, but there's always next year. 

Saturday, the girls spend the morning playing with the Rose girls, but when they left, our little neighbor guy raked his own pile and said "he was hoping to play with Scotts."  It was the cutest so of course I sent my girls outside.  They raked, played, and jumped for a while, but then they decided to stuff Jonathan like a scarecrow and thought it was the funniest thing ever!  

Sunday, we got the best news from John!  He texted to let me know they were raking their infamous leaf pile under the playhouse!  It has been a hit every year, but this year Milan and Eden bravely started jumping off the roof.  Technically, the roof is rotten, so they had to be careful not to walk in the middle, but everyone stayed safe and had a blast.  Milan still has tiny bits of leaves all over her scalp, but totally worth it. 

Looks like we'll heave some nice weather for Thanksgiving Break so can't wait to play outside and hopefully get some of our final projects done!  

Winter Hikin'

I get a little crazy being stuck inside so last week we took advantage of 50 degree high with a nearby hike.  We had to rush the after school routine so we could enjoy the last hour of daylight outside and it was chilly, but worth it!  Eden did end up throwing a screaming fit in the middle of the trail, but that could have happened anywhere, so I still say it was a win.
