Flag Day

One of the highlights of summer school was the flag day celebration.  Milan and Eden made darling props in their classes, paraded around the school, and finished with Popsicles on the playground.  Cora joined the parade with Milan's class and was front and center for Popsicles.  What a great way to celebrate America and our flag!

Milan's Happy Birthday

I can't believe this beautiful young lady is already 8!  We enjoyed a fun birthday with family and friends AAANNND an awesome American Girl Tea Party Sleepover....lucky girl!  Milan started off her birthday opening gifts (American Girl Tent, Hairstyling Chair, and Lego Kit).  We tried out strawberry picking and had a great time, even though it was toasty.  We picked for about 10 minutes then decided to cool off in the shade and enjoy the play structures.  Next up was going to the pool with friends, jumping off the high dive, and family dinner at Pizza Hut.

Friday, we hosted a sleepover with 3 of Milan's friends.  We started off the evening making our own American Girl tea cups, then moved on to the big kid tea party with lemonade and finger foods, opening gifts, cupcakes, and all sorts of sleepover shenanigans.  A fun filled night with exhausted girls!

Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony

We attended a fun ceremony for girl scouts and celebrated girl scout successes, great leaders, and wonderful friends.

Summer School

We decided to try out summer school for the first 3 weeks of summer.  We are hit and miss about attending since we have other fun activities too.  Milan enjoys seeing her friends and Eden is really enjoying the introduction to kindergarten and the kids in her class.  Eden did have one rough day in the beginning, but has since decided she loves school.  Cora and I walk up to the school to meet the girls for lunch whenever we get a chance.  Win.  Win.  Win.

Milan's Field Day

Dave finished up his D1 year (woohoo!) then Milan finished up 2nd grade (woop woop!).  We got to join Milan on her last day of school for field day.  It was a little chilly so Eden and Cora hung out for one Popsicle then decided to head home with dad.  I got to stay, hand out Popsicles, chit chat with other parents, and watch Milan in her element.  Field Day was the perfect ending to a successful year!

Fun visitors

We got a fun visit from the Martins!  It was crazy and my girls were in heaven.  Late night sleepovers until 11, sprinklers, riding bikes, and of course we showed off the Omaha Zoo. Not just that, but I had a great time catching up with an old friend.  Seriously, the best.

Spring Photos

I still can't get over spring.  It is beautiful.  Living in Wyoming for so long, we kind of forgot about this season, but we have been oohing and ahhing about the beautiful blossoms all over town.  I knew I wanted to take spring photos of my girls and lucked out finding the perfect dresses at TJ Maxx then whipped them up some headbands.  My girls are beautiful and I absolutely love these photos.
