Milan was invited to participate in a performance of Grease's We Go Together. Milan learned the dance and moves and did a wonderful job! She said she was a little nervous, but just followed the older kids in front of her. Dave was in North Dakota and wasn't sure if he would make it home in time to see Milan perform, but he surprised us all and got huge hugs from all of his ladies!

Easter Festivities!!!
We went to an egg hunt this weekend and Cora was so so so excited to see the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny had little helper characters and Cora just followed them around hugging their legs and not letting go. When it was finally her turn to see the Easter Bunny, she ran up to him and squealed. Milan wanted to meet him too, but Eden didn't want to get too close.
Milan ran into her new BFF Jazzlyn. Cute girls!!
Milan and Jazzy hung out at the older kid egg hunt and I hung out with Eden and Cora. Once it was time to go, Eden did a great job collecting eggs and Cora got too late of a start to get any eggs but didn't seem to mind. When we were going through their eggs, Eden got excited about some confetti in one of her eggs. I looked at the paper she tossed aside and told her that she had won a bike!!! Once it sunk in, she was SOOO excited! There was even fist clenching! She initially got a boy's bike so we exchanged it at Wal-Mart and she picked out an awesome pink and purple princess bike!! She loves to ride it and I am so happy for her! Isn't she adorable!
Yesterday we colored eggs. I realized that Cora just wanted to smash the egg shells so I distracted her and let Milan and Eden bust out their creativity in peace. Milan was super sweet and kept making cute eggs for Eden. I am sure the Easter Bunny will love their bright glittery masterpieces.
Aquarium
The Bakers came up from Rock Springs to help family move and we were so excited to visit with them. We got all the Baker kids for a couple evenings and it was a blast! Milan was in heaven playing with Lizzie again! Not only that, but she got to play hooky from school on Monday so we could meet up at the Denver Aquarium. We had an amazing lunch (and even more amazing dessert) right next to a huge fish tank. And what did we get to see in the fish tank? Real live mermaids! Milan and Eden loved them and Cora went ballistic! She was running all around the restaurant shouting "mer-may" and trying to get the best view.
After lunch, we headed next door to the Children's Museum. The museum was pretty empty so the girls made up a new game in the ball area. Eden and Cora laid down underneath the ball container and waited for the balls to fall on their faces! Milan decided she was too big for those shenanigans so she helped them out by transferring the balls back into the tank. At the end of the day, I usually talk to the girls about their favorite parts of the day. Eden said the balls falling on her was her very favorite and Milan said that hanging out with Lizzy was her favorite.
Spring
I just love spring! The warm weather, later evenings, and backyard just make it perfect. The girls made fairy houses and homemade stick beds at the neighborhood park. Those sure are some lucky fairies!
Eden and I did a fun science experiment with baking soda, food coloring, and vinegar. It was so cool we've already done it again.
The blanket is the perfect flying tool! All the girls were flying around the backyard and giggling. Now, that is the best!

Spring Break
Thursday, we headed to Cheyenne to meet Laramie friends the Bades, Corys, and Redds. We stayed at the McDonalds Play Place for 6 1/2 hours!!! Our kids all played great and we had a blast catching up so the time just flew by. Saturday I took Milan and Eden to the pool for a birthday party. Milan had a blast with her friends and even followed her friend Jazzy down the big slide for the first time. I got to spend all my time with my cute little Eden Bug. Saturday evening we got to go to the park with daddy! He started a fun tickling game on the swing so everybody wanted to try it! We had an AMAZING spring break and officially love Colorado!
Evergreen Lake
Wednesday, we headed to Evergreen Lake with the Eatons. It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains and our first stop was Dinosaur Ridge. I though the impressions of dinosaur prints and fossils were pretty cool, but the kids weren't super excited about the uphill trek. They did love the touristy shop at the bottom of the hill. Cora loved the mining station and they all loved digging for dinosaur bones and climbing on dinosaur statues.
Our next stop was Evergreen Lake. We got to hike around the lake, stop at the dam, and eat yummy ice cream at 31 flavors. Eden was sad about a tumble on the trail, but was pretty happy after our ice cream stop. It is a beautiful area and I would love to visit again!
Colorado Springs
Since Denver is awesome, we did a fun stay-cation for spring break. Saturday we explored the Antique Toys and Dolls Museum and a ghetto downtown McDonalds. Monday we went to the Children's Museum, which was super fun with the Fairchilds. Tuesday, we decided to check out Colorado Springs. I checked my phone when I got in the car and realized that Colorado Springs is 2 hours away...yikes! The kids were great little travelers and we had an awesome time so it was worth all the driving. Our first stop was the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where we got to feed giraffes. They have super long tongues and were very excited about lettuce. Eden and Cora were nervous at first, but then they got pretty brave. Cora was so fun to watch.....every time a giraffe would eat her lettuce and lick her hand, she would jump up and down and squeal!
Our next stop was Garden of the Gods. The girls weren't super excited about more walking, but they met some new friends and climbed rocks until the sun set. Cora wanted to explore with the big kids, but I had to keep her reigned in so she wouldn't fall off a cliff.
