Winter in Wyoming
Well, it is officially winter in Wyoming so we have shifted gears to indoor activities. Here are some of the things we have been doing.....
Eden can be pretty dang stubborn and some mornings I am just too rushed to worry about what she is wearing to preschool. She is pretty sure this matches because the shirt and pants have polka dots!
We spend a lot of time playing together on the floor.
Cora is hit or miss with solid foods....sometimes she can't get enough and other times she just shakes her head and I can't get a single bite in. She was a big fan of sweet potatoes!
The girls like to put on their Taledas (leotards) and put on conformances (performances). The table makes a great stage.
We had nice weather over Thanksgiving weekend so we met our friends, the Martins, at the park. We got to hang out with them most of the weekend and it was great to catch up!
We went to the Festival of Trees at the Art Museum so Milan could show us her ornament on the Girl Scout tree. She was so proud of herself!
The girls also got to see Santa Claus (who was a little cheesy, but oh well.) Milan wrote Santa a letter and asked for a bed for Alex.
Eden actually sat on Santa's lap this year (she smiled for this picture, then went a safe distance away.) Eden told Santa that she wanted a "Merican doll," but later decided she wanted lipstick.
I can't even think of a thing that Cora could need/want for Christmas, but she visited with Santa for a bit.
We went to get some balloon animals and take a look at the other trees.....
We also had a fun get together with our neighbors, ate tons of candy, and made gingerbread houses! The girls had a ton of fun. Milan's fell and shattered on the way home so we decorated another house the next day! So much candy for these little nuts!
More snuggling at home....this is my favorite part of winter. I like being busy and spending the day outside, but sometimes it's really nice to spend time at home, relaxing and playing.

Free Day at the Zoo
The girls had a 4 day weekend so we decided to check out the free day at the Denver Zoo. We drove down with our friends, the Corys, and squeezed 6 car seats in the back of the car. The girls loved riding with their friends and pigging out on snacks!
I thought free day would be crazy busy, but it turned out great! We had plenty of room to run around checking out animals, beautiful weather, and fun friends (we met our friends, the Bluemels, in Denver also.)
Hanging around like a monkey!
Cora was such a little trooper :)
Love Eden's face in this picture! She really got a lot out of the animals this trip.
Eden carried around her Lunchable the entire time.....not really sure why :)
I had such a fun day with my girls. We skipped parts of the zoo and left with happy kids!

6 Months
Holy moly, this has officially been the fastest 6 months ever! Our sweet Miss Cora will be 6 months in a couple of days so of course I took some pictures to document this milestone. She had so many cute pictures and expressions during our ten minute "photo shoot" that it was hard to pick my favorites.
Cora is seriously a very easy baby. If she took a bottle, I would say that she was perfect. She sleeps through the night until 6:30/7. She rarely cries. She is content playing in her Exersaucer or on the floor as long as someone else is in the room. She especially likes watching Milan and Eden play. She loves attention and her face will explode into a cute smile when someone talks to her. She goes on all of our little adventures without much complaint. She is definitely a mama's girl. She is a good little roller and is starting to roll consecutively towards things (uh-oh, watch out!) She has been practicing her sitting and I would say today was her first day as a stable sitter. She is absolutely darling and we are very blessed to have her in our family.

A week in Wyoming
Sunday:
Wednesday:
Our weather can be crazy in Wyoming. I prefer the first picture, but the girls are in love with the snow! On the first snow day, we were all bundled up playing in the yard and throwing snowballs at 7 am!!! We have already built a couple of snow girls (of course, they are much better than snowmen, especially in this house!) We are back to some nice fall weather, but the snow will definitely come. Good things these cute girls make it more enjoyable (Dave warming up my truck and scraping my windows on snowy mornings also makes it more enjoyable :)
Trick or Treating
We kicked off the trick or treating season with Scaramie on Saturday morning. It was pretty dang cold, but we dressed warm and had a great time! Eden was so funny....her little legs were exhausted but she insisted on walking and carrying her heavy bucket.....she was not letting that candy out of her hands!
The girls designed their own pumpkins this year so of course they both wanted princesses. Milan drew freckles on her pumpkin so that is was "Princess Milan."
Halloween Day was so busy and so fun. We started off at Milan's costume parade. When Milan saw me, she wanted me to parade around the rest of school then hang out in her class for a while. How could I resist? Here's my little fairy in action with her assignment.
What a cute kindergarten class!
Next up, Eden's class preschool party. Their school banned Halloween festivities so they had pajama day and "science" activities that were a lot like Halloween activities. Here's Eden playing with some pumpkin goo.....she dug right in!
We also made the rounds to Milan's class party, trick or treating at the doctor's offices, and Chili's for dinner, but the real highlight was neighborhood trick or treating! We had amazing weather and some very excited girls. Milan and her friend Dani led the pack, running from house to house squealing with glee! It was hard to get them to stop for two seconds so I could snap a picture.
Eden was the little caboose of the pack. She would stop and examine every piece of candy then tell me all about it! Her little legs gave out first, but luckily she was able to catch a ride with daddy!
