Butch Cassidy Days

A couple of weekends ago we were watching an Milan's friend, Rowyn, so I thought it would be fun for all of us to check out the Butch Cassidy Festival in town.  They had a ton of fun stuff for kids.....petting zoo, kite show, jump house, balloon animals, broom making, and my personal favorite.....

Llamas!!!  The girls thought they were neat, but didn't have the same excitement I did.
We also ran into our friends, the Chamberlains, and took a little carriage ride with them.

The girls had a great time and were definitely worn out when we left (Eden was in "needing-a-nap-meltdown" mode, Cora would not tolerate her stroller, and the older girls were tired and thirsty!) We had some down time at home, then enjoyed the rest of our afternoon outside while Dave went riding with a friend.

Summer

School is out, we are getting this 3 kid thing figured out, and the weather has been beautiful!  Summer is my all-time favorite time of the year so we are enjoying every second!  We started off the day with a picnic at the park......

Eden has turned into quite the little climber!  I love that she just runs off to play with her friends and has a great time.
Cora is almost a month old.  Here she is with daddy sporting some crazy hair!  (Daddy was supposed to leave this week to begin training for his summer job, but the company is still waiting on all his background check stuff.  We are happy to have dad home for another week!  He should be heading to San Antonio on Sunday instead.  Dave is definitely ready to get to work and start making money.)
Cute girls.  Both girls got haircuts on Saturday.  (Milan initially wanted long hair like Rapunzel, but hated having her hair combed every morning.  When she was complaining about tangles, I tried to sell her on short hair.  It worked!  I think they both look super cute with short hair and the best part is that it shortens the whole getting ready process in the morning!)
Laying out in the front yard.  We busted out the sprinkler this afternoon the girls played outside for hours!

We finished off the day with a family walk and a pit stop at the park!  Love it!

Bigger, Bigger

Cora is growing fast and we just absolutely love having her in our family.  I just had to share a couple of pictures from the past week.

The other day, we snuggled up and took a nap together.   When I woke up, I thought she was the cutest little sleeper and had to take a picture.
Dave snapped this picture.
All the ladies in our family :)

Thank You Grandpa Bob!

Grandpa Bob sent a package with cute clothes for Cora and some fun gliders for the girlies!  The gliders were a huge hit with Milan and Eden!

Eden couldn't quite figure it out on her own so we did some team work....she would get her pinchers ready then we let go on the count of 3 :)
Milan had it all figured out!
We nearly had a glider emergency, then dad came to the rescue!
Thanks Grandpa Bob for the surprises!

2 1/2 Weeks with Cora :)

The past 2 1/2 weeks have been wonderful with little miss Cora!  Dave has been home so we have really been enjoying family time.  I am definitely taking advantage of midday naps until he leaves for work in North Dakota in a couple of weeks.  It is an understatement to say that Cora is quite adored.  The girls shower her with attention whenever they get a chance.  They're not the only ones.....I hold her and snuggle her every night while she's sleeping.  I just love to watch her little face and play with her dark hair....eek, she is just so dang cute!

Here is a photo overload from the past couple of weeks.....

Eden is quite smitten with Cora.  We have to constantly remind her to be soft....I think she just gets so excited that she forgets.  She usually holds her for a couple of minutes, then she's done and moves on to something else.  Eden has also worn this awesome night dress 80% of the time....we have been hanging out at home so this is her outfit of choice.
Our little Cora burrito.  This is exactly how she sleeps in our room.
 Snuggle time with daddy.
Look at this cute little face.
Smiles.  They kind of melt my heart!

 Sisters.
Milan took her for Show and Tell when she was 1 1/2 weeks old.  Milan was a very proud big sister!
Cora's pretty eyes.  I'm very curious to see what color her eyes will be.
Some pretty flowers from my mom.
We spend a lot of time snuggling in the comfy rocking chair.  I don't really get anything done, but I'm okay with that.
This was a major accomplishment!  I had myself and all three girls ready for 9:00 church.  I even had a couple of minutes to spare for a picture!

 Cute smiles.
 Girl time!
Daddy fed Cora the bottle today....Milan and Eden were so excited to watch her eat and of course get some holding time!

Preschool Olympics

Last Saturday, Milan was super excited to go to the Gymnastics Olympics so that she could show off the new skills she learned this year.

After the events, they had an award ceremony; Milan earned 3 blue ribbons, 1 white ribbon, and a new medal.  The medal was the highlight of her weekend and she wore it for days!   I love her proud little face in this picture!
Eden wears her leotard to gymnastics every week and mimics the gymnasts from the sidelines.  The owner made an exception and let her join the class even though she is too young.  She tried out the class for about ten minutes, then came back and told me she was not old enough for gymnastics.  She is very happy to look cute, play on the sidelines, and jump on the trampoline!

Mother's Day

I have been so spoiled this past couple of weeks!  Dave has taken care of all the household stuff so that I can spend time with the girls, relax, and sleep!  Mother's Day was another great day and also our first family outing as a family of five.

We went down to the river and had fun throwing rocks for a bit.
We also played at the park.  Milan showed off the new skill daddy taught her.  She can now get herself started on the swing and pump!  (Super nice for me too!)
Me and 6 day old Cora.
This is how Eden likes to get across the Monkey Bars....she loved this technique so she just kept going back and forth.
