Shore Acres

We went on a little adventure to Coos Bay with my in-laws and friends.  We enjoyed Sizzler at 4:30 with all the Happy Hour old people.....it was actually pretty yummy!  We also went to Shore Acres and the girls loved seeing the lights, throwing money into the fountain, and eating cookies!

Heceta Head Lighthouse

Milan noticed the lighthouse close to the house and really wanted to see it.  We did a little 1/2 mile hike and made it just in time for a tour.  (A little note:  Whenever we go on a hike or walk, Eden insists on being carried by me, not Dave.  Dave cannot even push her stroller.  Little nut!)  The girls thought ascending the lighthouse stairs was just like going into Rapunzel's tower, which made it even cooler!

Here are the girlies!
 Our little family.

Getaway

After we got to Oregon and hung out for a couple of days, we were excited for a little getaway.  We initially planned on going down to Newport Beach then decided that was way too much driving so we set our sights on the Redwoods instead.  It was SOOO nice, wonderful, and great to getaway and spend time together.  We laughed and talked uninterrupted on the way down, stayed in an oceanfront hotel, and enjoyed some beautiful weather.

Sunset in Crescent City.
Taking the Miata through a tree....pretty cool!

We had so much fun, I would love to steal another getaway before our new little girl arrives :)

Decorating the Tree

Grandma and grandpa waited for us to decorate the tree.  The girls took their decorating job very seriously and created quite a beautiful tree.  Some branches were especially pretty with lots of ornaments!

Eden loved the help from her papa.

Drive to Oregon

Our drive to Oregon (1200 miles) was really great!  Especially for me, since the girls and I slept while Dave drove at night.  We divided the drive into three days and enjoyed visiting with family along the way.  We stopped in Utah and visited with Grandma Kat.  I also scheduled some super cute Santa pictures......look, I even dressed the girls in coordinating red outfits, painted their nails red, the whole shebang.  Of course, when we got to our picture appointment, Eden wanted absolutely nothing to do with Santa or pictures.  It became clear that Eden was not going to warm up to the idea so we headed to Cabela's to see the fishies.....that was definitely a big hit for the girls!

Christmas Fun!

Yesterday our friends invited us over to decorate graham cracker houses.  Poor Eden bug was feeling a little sick so she stayed home with daddy, but Milan had a GREAT time.  It was, after all, a combination of her favorite things.....friends, candy, and icing!  I built the graham cracker bungalow, then Milan was in charge of the decorating.  Fortunately, the little house was able to sustain the weight on the roof.
We also got to see Santa this weekend and both girls loved him.  Milan told Santa that she wanted some glitter glue for Christmas.  Eden got close to Santa, got her treats, and ran out of there.....too fast for me to get a picture, but she was excited to tell me all about Santa!  When we left, we searched everywhere for Santa's sleigh, but couldn't find it.  Maybe next time!

Eden's 1st Haircut

Yesterday we took Milan to get her haircut.  Eden watched patiently, then asked to get her hair cut too.  She did need her hair evened out, but I was worried about cutting all her curls off.  Eden was so excited that I couldn't say no.  She was a great little client with a huge grin on her face the whole time.  She still has her curls, but I think she looks more like a little girl now....more pictures to come!
