Dave took Milan to watch Cars 2 so Eden and I got to hang out at home together. I'm not sure when it happened, but Eden turned into a little girl.....she loves to chat, pretend play, and know where Milan is at all times.

Gymnastics
Milan did a 2-week gymnastics camp again this summer and LOVED it!
Milan got to leave the rec center daycare early every day and head down to the gym with her friend Cali (who is seven so Milan thinks she is the coolest!) After I finished my work out and grabbed Eden from day care, we would head down and watch Milan. She was always so excited to see Eden and I watching her....she would run over and give us big hugs then go back to gymnastics.
Snacks made Eden a happy spectator!!

Beauty and the Beast
Milan and I went on a fun little date to watch Beauty and the Beast Junior at the college. My date quickly ditched me to hang out with her friends, but it was still fun. I was pretty impressed by the production and Milan was completely enthralled! She even decided she liked the play better than the movie.....and she would know since we have seen that movie at least twenty times!
Bike Ride
Today I met up with some friends and rode the Green River Trail. Milan went to a play date so I just took Eden; She was excited to eat snacks and hang out with her buddy Teag. She yelled "Tea!" the whole way to Green River. She got soaking wet going through some high water on the trail, took it in stride, and told me "pool" with a smile on her face.
Flaming Gorge Days
We kicked off Flaming Gorge Days with a 5k run. It was my first race in 8 years so I set a pretty easy goal. I had no idea where the course ended so I was surprised to find the finish line and realize that I was ready to keep going. I had forgotten how much fun running with friends was and as a bonus, we scored some super ugly t-shirts!
My friend Katie watched the girls while I ran then brought them to Green River for the parade. They had a great time and I couldn't be more grateful! (They also came with super-cute hairstyles and more prepared for a parade then I normally pull off!)

Milan and her friend Lizzie. These girls had fun waving to everyone and got super excited whenever a princess came by (a.k.a. pageant winners.)
Eden came to the parade with us too, but she just hung out with me and snagged any candy that came within a foot of us.
After the Green River festivities, Eden crashed and I taught Milan Jenga. It was fun! She really got into it and we got some tall towers going.

DISNEYLAND!!!!
Since we were in California around Milan's birthday, we couldn't resist surprising her with a Disneyland trip. Monday morning, I showed her the Snow White dress-up and told her where we were going for the day....she couldn't even believe that we were going to be there in the next hour!
Her first request was the Dumbo ride with Grandma.......
Eden was nervous about the rides at first so we hung out and played.
Alice in Wonderland ride. Eden wasn't sure what to think on the first ride, but she ended up loving them.
I waited in line for the princesses while Dave took Milan on some other rides....the timing was perfect! Milan with Princess and the Frog. Milan was excited to see Tatiana, but she kept watching Ariel the entire time.
When it was finally her turn, Milan RAN to Ariel, gave her a big hug, and said she was her very favorite princess. Watching that was one of the highlights of our trip.
Eden wasn't sure what to think.....
"It's a Small World." My girls love the song and we even get to listen to it on YouTube at home...lucky us :).

The Parade. The Parade was the BEST part of our entire day. Milan would gasp and get super excited to see her favorite characters coming around the corner. Both girls waved at everyone that went by so they got lots of smiles.
Teacups for the second time. Dave got them going super fast and they both had a blast.....I could hardly even watch them without feeling sick.

The Carousel. Eden hated the carousel at the zoo, but she was pretty delirious at this point so she had fun on this one.
Ending the day with some huge suckers. Dave and I stayed at Disneyland for the fun rides and the girls crashed on the way back to the hotel. Milan told us it was her favorite day.....success!
