Swimming, Jumping, Hiding

We have been out and about all week so my kids don't go crazy inside our house.  Laramie has a really nice rec center so we've been swimming, working out, and playing indoor soccer.  The girls really love the pool......

 Notice how Eden is pretty dry in this picture....she prefers to just walk around the pool.

We have to get creative while we're at home so the kids don't get super bored.  This was their hiding spot for a family game of hide-n-seek.

We even tried out finger painting and it wasn't as messy as I feared.  Of course, Eden was napping at the time so that helps......

We also have a lot of play dates. Milan loves having friends for dress-up and tea parties and Eden is just happy to follow the girls around.

Eden really wants to be part of everything now. Whenever one of us is getting ready to go, she brings her boots over to let us know that she is planning on coming too. She loves to walk around the house and talk to herself. Here she is practicing getting on and off the bed so she will be all ready to jump with Milan next time....

Rough Week

It turns out that not every week at the Scott house is full of fun adventures with happy sharing girls.....dang it!  We were all a bunch of sickies, but Eden had the worst week of all.  She has the flu, two painful bottom molars, some nose injuries from a run-in with the sidewalk yesterday (after she biffed it, she insisted on staying outside to play, then landed herself in a mud puddle.....she had her big puffy winter coat on so she just kind of rolled into the puddle and couldn't get out until I picked her up.)  She topped it all off with an eye gash from the toy box.  Hey, at least she's smiling in this picture. 

Tomorrow is the beginning to a new week......hopefully a healthier one.....

Sisters

16 1/2 months ago we brought Eden home from the hospital and Milan was ready to play with her right then and there....that didn't really work out too well for either one of them.  Now that Eden is a little walker-talker, they have started really playing together.  Eden totally adores her big sister and wants to be just like her.......Milan loves playing with Eden as long as she doesn't steal her toys.  Awww, sisters.......

Little Miss Trendsetter!

Milan wanted me to take a picture of this outfit and put in on the computer becuase it's so "beeootiful!"  She whipped this out all by herself if you couldn't tell.......

It's official!

Eden decided to try out walking on December 20th.  She's still not convinced that it's the best way to get around, but she sure is cute.  When she decides to walk, she claps at herself and beams over her accomplishment. 

Newport Aquarium

Grandma and Grandpa Scott took us the Newport Aquarium and the girls loved it!  Eden was enthralled with everything we saw.....she was too fascinated by the sea lions to even consider looking at the camera for this picture.  Milan always loves adventures and this was no exception.

Sweet Creek Falls

We went for a really pretty hike up Sweet Creek Falls with Grandpa, Uncle Chip, and Aunt Andrea. 

Milan had nice comfy accommodations on every one's shoulders....

 Whenever we go on hikes, Dave likes to pretend that he's still a boy scout and point out various trees and animals.
