Little climber

Even though I hate that my kids are growing up, I love having a little crawler around the house!  It's a blast to watch Eden get excited about something then crawl over as fast as her little legs can take her.  My favorite part is when she crawls over to me and hugs my leg.  She's not pulling up yet, but she loves to climb anything she can find.....Milan's stool, toy totes, steps at the park.

Here she is gearing up to climb the stool.

Mission accomplished.
Here Eden found some dress-up (compliments of Milan) and a tote to climb!
Eden discovered that if she rocked back and forth, she could make the chair rock.  She was pretty excited!
More rocking and a Mac n' Cheese box....double the excitement!
Eden is not super happy about wearing dresses these days because it impedes her crawling.  Too bad, I love to put my girls in cute dresses (even though her pjs and bed head are pretty cute too :)

Silly Girls

Milan loves to play with Eden.  The other day, Eden was just crawling around the house and Milan decided to crawl on top of her.  Today, Milan practically sat on Eden because she wanted to crawl around the house and Milan wanted to play together in their room.  I love to see my girlies playing together and hear laughter coming from their room!!!

Cute Hair

Sunday, I bribed Milan with some pink gum and she let me curl her hair.  I think it looks so dang cute!  Milan's hair was curly and I was sure that it would last forever.....her curls are growing out and I'm totally procrastinating her next hair cut because I think her curls might get cut off and be gone forever.  Since I don't want to break out the curling iron every morning, I need to get online and start searching cute little girl haircuts.

A Very Special Birthday

We had another birthday at our house....Eden turned 1 on Friday, September 3rd.  Here's our cute little girl on her big day!

Eden was completely spoiled with gifts from our families.  Milan showed Eden how to open presents; Eden caught on pretty fast and really got into opening presents....I love all of the different looks on her face.....

This was Eden's favorite gift....it's a ride-on-car (which she loves)

and a walker (which she is completely confused by).  Well, she likes to push her new toy out in front of her....we'll have to work on moving her feet later.

Last, but not least, Eden LOVED her birthday cupcakes.  Milan and I were going to decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles then I had big plans to light a candle and sing Happy Birthday.  Eden saw them on the table, knew she had to have one, pointed and said, "eh-eh-eh-eh" until Dave gave in :)
It was a very special birthday for a very special little girl!

Happy Birthday Dave

Dave turned 31 yesterday. Dave has never really been into birthdays, but Milan had big plans!

First thing in the morning, Milan called Dave on his way to school and sang Happy Birthday (I'm sure everyone on the bus could here it!)  Then we made Dave a princess cake complete with pink frosting, sprinkles, and princess figurines and decorated the house all princessy!
After Dave did his school thing, we enjoyed 3 hours with Eden while Milan was at preschool.  I'm not sure if there is a better way to celebrate your birthday then playing catch with a happy little Eden.

Then I made a yummy dinner, we enjoyed some very special birthday cake, then Milan helped unwrap some gifts.  Here's Milan giving Dave a big birthday hug.

Hope you have a great year Dave!

First Day of Preschool

Milan is growing up WAY to FAST!  I dropped her off at her first day of preschool yesterday.  Some of the other kids were crying and almost everyone was hanging out with their parents.  Milan just marched right into her classroom and when I asked her if she wanted me to say, she just said, "no."  Of course, Milan has been talking about preschool for a year now so I should have been prepared.   Look how grown up my little girl looks!
I had heard a couple of people rave about this preschool, but it was already full when we moved here.  It was sheer luck that we were visiting with the teacher when she got a cancellation phone call from one of her students.  After we were signed up, I realized that it is every day for 3 hours....I'm going to miss Milan but I know she'll have a great time!
