Crazy Big Hair :)

I do Milan's hair every morning then restyle it throughout the day. I have tried everything to keep her hair intact, but she loves to yank out the rubber band along with a handful of hair and then show me the rubber band and say "ah-ha." Here are some pictures of my little girl's cute fro.

While I was talking to Dave, Milan got stuck in her closet shelf. She was worried at first, then she was just excited to talk to da-da on the phone.

I LOVE how she is hands-free when she "talks" on her cell phone. Plus, she's walking on rings from her stacker.

Deliriously playing catch before bedtime.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

Alright, I'm a huge slacker.......We had an AWESOME girl's weekend to Cheyenne Frontier Days almost a month ago and I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures........

Our positions in the back of the truck for the drive to Laramie (where we stayed Friday night) and the cruise around town

During Becca's tour of Laramie, we saw this fine architecture. Can you see the 'hand gesture' in the bricks?

The girls waiting for the parade.

A big pair of pants!

Watching the rodeo.

After the rodeo, we watched Taylor Swift (good concert.....I loved dancing to her teeny-bopper songs) and Rascal Flats (eh).

The first night I was gone, I received a picture text where Milan had no pants, no shoes, a dried bloody nose with hair stuck to the crusties on her face. I was worried. Dave watched Milan all weekend and even though her hair did not get styled, they had a lot of fun.....hiking, shakes at Arctic Circle, and playing outside.

FUN WEEKEND FOR THE SCOTTS!

Highlights

We LOVE summer and LOVE playing outside during the warm days and enjoying the beautiful evenings! Here's some highlights........

Playing at the park with dad! Once Dave showed Milan the joys of going down the slide, he was busy until he was too tired to climb anymore stairs.

So freaking CUTE!

Spending the day at Buckboard.
Milan playing on the jet ski with her little friend Haven.

Lounging on the camp chair.

Playing at the Splash Park.
"Hmmm.....this is a neat drain in the ground....."

"Oh, wow!"

"A tower of water!"

The 4th of July parade in Paris. Milan was pretty grouchy for most of the day....turns out that she was coming down with Chicken Pox.....sad.

Eating sand at Bear Lake

Playing with Extended Family in Paris. (Dave's cousin Todd and his wife blessed their baby over the 4th of July weekend and we were so fortunate to join their family for the blessing and the 4th of July weekend.)

Out of the Bubble

After a full week of isolation, Milan's chickenpox passed the contageous stage and we decided to have a little family outing. We drove to Green River, picked up shakes at Arctic Circle and headed down to a little park to watch the trains. We thought Milan would enjoy watching the trains on the track and we got there at a perfect time with lots of activity. Milan was more interested in running on the bridge and just playing around.

Milan did LOVE sharing our shakes and eating the Nilla Wafer that comes on top......

Saturday night we hired a new sitter so we could go hang out with some friends. Usually Milan stays pretty close to Dave or I when she meets a new person. It turns out that she was bored hanging out with mom and dad for a week........as soon as the doorbell rang, Milan ran to the door and immediately started playing with the babysitter, and never looked back to find us. We're glad that Milan had a fun night and we had a fun date too :)

CHICKENPOX!

Here's a little story.......We went to Bear Lake for the 4th of July and hung out outside where there were a lot of mosquitos. It looked like Milan had gotten a ton of mosquito bites on her face. Milan has also been pretty inexplainably cranky. 3 days later I finally figured out that she contracted chickenpox from her vaccination(1% chance of happening.) The good news is that it's a pretty mild case and she doesn't seem to be too itchy or too cranky anymore. I feel so bad for not knowing because we have been around kids a lot lately (good news is that 80-90% of vaccinated kids won't catch it....here's hoping!) Now, Milan and I are having fun hanging out at home until the last pox is gone.

If you look on the picture, you can see them on the right side of her face....most of them are on her face and arms.

Naps & Cuddles

Dave often tells me that I have an awesome job as a stay-at-home mom and I try to point out that it is harder than he thinks. Yesterday, Dave came home from lunch to find Milan and I napping.

Okay, maybe I do have the best job in the world......taking a nap and cuddling with my little girl :)
